Market Maker Protection (MMP) update: Vega Limit introduced
Jun 5, 2026
Jun 5, 2026

A new vegaLimit parameter is now available in Market Maker Protection (MMP) configuration. It monitors Net Vega exposure within the rolling window.
If the Absolute Net Vega exceeds vegaLimit, MMP will be triggered, cancel all MMP-tagged orders, and apply the configured frozen period. This works in the same way as the existing Quantity Limit and Delta Limit triggers.
Default value
All existing MMP configurations will be updated to vegaLimit = $500,000. New accounts will use the same default value.
No other changes
All existing MMP behavior and configuration parameters remain unchanged. Existing integrations will continue to work as expected.
Effective date: 9 June, 2026
For configuration details, see the MMP API documentation.
