Bybit is excited to introduce the Unified Margin Account, where you can trade USDT Perpetual, USDC Perpetual and USDC Options simultaneously, using all supported assets in a single account as collateral.

We’re inviting institutional traders and VIP users to participate in our soft launch. Approved traders can test it out on Bybit’s web and app (version 3.25.5 or newer). 

Participants whose product improvement ideas are adopted by Bybit, will have the chance to earn bonuses for Derivatives trading!

How to upgrade to a Unified Margin Account

. Please make sure your Bybit UID input is correct. 

2. A Bybit account manager will reach out to you and you’ll be invited to join our community for the event if you’re considered eligible. Bybit will get your Unified Margin Account ready within two (2) working days.

4. Close all your USDT Perpetual, USDC Perpetual and USDC Options positions and cancel all active orders.

5. Upgrade to a Unified Margin Account. For details about the process, please view 

Please note that you won’t be able to switch back to the current Derivatives Account after the upgrade.

Do I have to open a new account to upgrade to a Unified Margin Account?

Any eligible user can upgrade to a Unified Margin Account using their existing Bybit account. 

We recommend you use a Subaccount to test it out first as its mechanism varies from that of the existing USDT and USDC contracts.

Can I switch my account back to a Derivatives Account if I have upgraded to a Unified Margin Account?

No, please note that reversal is not supported.

What assets does the Unified Margin Account support?

Currently, the Unified Margin Account supports USDT, USDC, BTC and ETH. Stay tuned for more supported assets.

How to use BTC and ETH as collateral to trade USDT and USDC contracts?

First, you should upgrade to a Unified Margin Account and transfer BTC and ETH assets, which will be used as collateral, into the account. All assets in the Unified Margin Account are measured in USD value, which is subject to fluctuations.

The Unified Margin Account has its specific risk management and borrowing mechanisms, please make sure that you’ve read and understood the 

 before trading with a Unified Margin Account.
