We are pleased to announce the launch of the Unified Margin Account on Bybit. With this feature, Bybit users will now have greater flexibility when trading any Bybit derivative contract from a single account.

Bybit users with more than 1,000 USD worth of assets — i.e., the USDT wallet balance in their Derivatives Account and the wallet balance in their USDC Derivatives Accounts — can upgrade to a Unified Margin Account. The Unified Margin Account will be accessible via API, Bybit Web, and App (Version 3.25.5 or newer).

The Unified Margin Account is a cross-collateral account that allows users to trade USDT Perpetual, USDC Perpetual, and USDC Options simultaneously, using all supported assets in a single account — without transferring assets back and forth across multiple accounts — as collateral.

The Unified Margin Account is ideal for professional traders, market makers and institutional traders who trade crypto-derivatives within a diversified portfolio. 

 — Any asset supported in the Unified Margin Account can be used to open positions in USDT Perpetual, USDC Perpetual, and USDC Options. Currently, the Unified Margin Account supports USDT, USDC, BTC, and ETH — more assets will be supported soon.

— The profit and loss of all USDT Perpetual and USDC Perpetual contracts positions under the Unified Margin Account will be amalgamated. In other words, the profits of a winning position can be used to offset the losses of another position within the Unified Margin Account, which may potentially reduce the chances of getting liquidated in adverse market conditions. Additionally, any unrealized gains from winning positions can also be used as margin to open new positions.

Experience API performance comparable to, or even better than, USDT Perpetual, USDC Perpetual and USDC Options contracts.
