On Jan 31, 2023, we announced our intention to comply with instructions from the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (“CNMV”). As part of this commitment, certain products and services will no longer be available to traders in Spain from Feb 15, 2023, 8AM UTC.

We take any decision that impacts our users’ access to our services seriously. Our decision was made with the best interest of our Spanish users in mind. Consequently, to minimize the impact of the upcoming restrictions on our community, we will gradually phase out relevant products and services. This will result in certain trading restrictions being imposed on users who have either self-identified as residents of Spain or whose location we have determined to be in Spain.

This does not imply that we will no longer serve our Spanish users. We will continue to offer a reliable and trusted digital asset trading platform to our Spanish users in compliance with the CNMV’s instructions.

Please mark your calendar for the important dates of 

, and make sure that you fully comprehend the implementation process. Until Feb 15, 2023, 8AM UTC, you will be allowed to continue trading all products listed on Bybit, including Restricted Products. However, we strongly recommend that you use this time to manage your existing positions in Restricted Products.  

The implementation timeframe and pertinent restrictions are outlined below. Please make sure that you understand their implication on your user category.

From Feb 15, 2023, 8AM UTC to Apr 30, 2023, 8AM UTC

If you fall under any of the impacted user categories, you may realize that restrictions have been placed on your account. These trading and other restrictions will go into effect on 

 and we may, based on your user category, require you to take certain actions.  

We recommend that you take action immediately and trust that you will make the right determination regarding how to mitigate the impact of these changes on your trading experience with Bybit. To safeguard the interests of our community we will continue to engage in a constructive dialogue with the CNMV and monitor legal and regulatory developments in Spain.
