Incident Update Regarding NOT Coin Deposit Issues on May 16, 2024

What happened:

Between 4:05 AM UTC and 12:20PM UTC on May 16, 2024, Bybit encountered a delay in processing NOT coin deposits. This delay has since been resolved, and all affected users should find their NOT coin balances reflected in their accounts. We understand the significance of prompt deposits and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

What was the impact:

The root cause of this incident was due to the scheduled system maintenance occurring at a time of high volume of on-chain transactions associated with the NOT Coin airdrop.

Our wallet received approximately 370,000 on-chain transactions from @thenotcoin. Airdrops were distributed to users whose transactions occurred during the scheduled system maintenance. Hence, it took longer to reconcile all balances and reflect them accurately.

Rest assured, the abnormality did not affect account balances or trade data, and normalcy has been fully restored. The safety of assets and the integrity of trade data remained intact throughout. Bybit has implemented measures to mitigate the risk of similar incidents occurring in the future.
