Please ensure you meet the upgrade requirements before proceeding. Check the details [here](https://www.bybit.com/en/help-center/article/How-to-Upgrade-Standard-Account-to-UTA#B). Failure to meet these requirements will result in an upgrade failure.

• Automatic upgrade for existing inactive Standard Accounts (no assets, pending orders, or active positions in Spot and Derivatives Accounts). 

• During the upgrade, there will be a short downtime, approximately two (2) minutes, for Spot and Derivatives Accounts between 2AM to 10AM UTC daily. 

2. Standard Accounts and UTAs (Older Versions)

• Automatic upgrade for Standard Accounts with no Spot and Derivatives active orders. 

• Automatic upgrade for older UTAs with no Inverse Perpetuals active orders. 

• The upgrade follows the same process as a user-initiated upgrade, and will ensure security and maintain positions below the liquidation threshold immediately after the upgrade. 

• During the upgrade, there will be a short downtime, approximately two (2) minutes, for Spot and Derivatives Accounts between 2AM to 10AM UTC daily. Trading using old UTAs may experience a brief interruption of up to 30 seconds.

• Derivatives V3 and Spot V3 APIs for Standard Accounts will be phased out. Users will no longer be able to place orders or retrieve market data via API V3. • Reduced frequency for API V5 endpoints. The default frequency will be adjusted to 10 requests per second, and subsequent API upgrades will no longer be available. The frequency for UTA API endpoints will not be affected. 

• Standard Account users will not be able to create API keys. API keys will only be available again upon upgrade to UTAs. 

• Perpetuals and Futures trading using Standard Accounts, as well as Inverse Perpetuals and Futures trading under older UTAs, will switch to Reduce-Only. New orders to increase positions will not be accepted. Users are only allowed to close their positions. 

• Spot trading using Standard Accounts will be suspended, and no new Spot orders can be placed.

• Active Spot orders in Standard Accounts will be canceled gradually.

• Active Derivatives orders in Standard Accounts and Inverse Derivatives orders in older UTAs will also be canceled gradually.

The transition process will be carried out in stages and is expected to take a few days to several weeks to complete.

Important Note: A small possibility exists that closing or TP/SL orders may be canceled during the migration. After upgrading to a UTA, you can recreate orders according to your trading strategy.

• Automatic upgrades for older UTAs and Standard Accounts will continue. 

• Current positions will not be affected and will be transferred to the new unified trading account. During the upgrade process, there will be a brief downtime (approximately two minutes) for Spot and Derivatives Accounts between 2AM and 10AM UTC daily. UTA trading will not be affected.

Important Notes for Master Trader Accounts (Copy Trading Classic)

The same upgrade timeline and restrictions for Standard Accounts apply to Master Traders using Standard Accounts for Copy Trading. Master Traders can manually upgrade to UTA, but manual upgrades cannot be performed while there are open positions. If you have open positions, please wait for the automatic upgrade, which will start on Dec 16, 2024. Your existing positions will be transferred to the new UTA after the upgrade. 

• All new contract listings in the upcoming schedule will only be available to users who have upgraded to the latest version of UTA. Standard Accounts will no longer support new contracts listed. We will release another announcement with more details.
