In light of the recent market volatility, Bybit will increase the margin requirements of 

. Additionally, Bybit will be using the SOL Spot index price as the underlying price for all SOL Options going forward.

The following adjustments will be made to the margin requirements of SOL Options contracts:

Bybit will increase the risk parameter for the underlying price movements of SOL from 20% to 40%, which will materially impact the initial and maintenance margins of SOL Options contracts.

We will increase the risk parameters in two phases until it reaches 40%:

Bybit will increase the maximum Initial Margin Rate (IMR) from 15% to 30% and the minimum Initial Margin Rate (IMR) from 10% to 20% of SOL Options contracts. In addition, we will increase the Maintenance Margin Rate (MMR) from 7.5% to 15%. Changes to Regular Margin will take effect at 12PM UTC on 10 Nov, 2022.
